    Okay, no we're really confused.

As stated before, there is no vin number anywhere, and I don't have it in my possession yet to wire brush the frame for a stamp.

The dash actually looks like an early 50's CJ3B dash, from a picture someone sent me. Can anyone recognize any characteristics off this jeep that would state it is one model over the other?

the dash doesn't look like a 2a. no indentation for the the steering colum and know ingnition key hole for the key/coil above the pass side left knee.

    my .02

edit: looks to be a 3b but not sure what a 3a dash looks like.

edit: not a 100% but purdy sure the 3b's had the tub lines on them.

Thanks - do you mean the line up the sides of the hood, in line with the top of the tub?

both. 3b's always look like they just stacked another hood and cowl onto the rig....... the local watering hole design.

it's 4 3/4" piece added between the kick panel and the cowl area so the cowl is the same heighth as the hood.

Thanks, I was wondering about that. If they switched hoods, then how did they make the dash match, right?

Looks like an early CJ3B then, I guess. :)

There's a nice CJ3B windshield frame and glass for sale right now on the Denver Craigslist. Looks to be in good shape, but it's not real cheap....

Well, the seats are out of it now, and the tool box is in good shape....nice green colour, have to see it in person I guess as I was never fond of it from pictures.

I was well aware that a garbage bag had been placed over the top to keep the water out. However, I was NOT aware that a towel had been shoved into the barrels to act as a wick for any water present.
