How much should I pay for a tub?

Hey Gang,

Looking at a tub for sale to replace the swiss-cheese one I've already got. It's 4 hours away and the guy wants $300.00 non-negotiable. From the pics it doesn't look too bad. The guy said it was repaired before he bought it, and he's parting it out. The way I figure it, it can't be any worse than the one I've got, and between the 2 I should be able to have a complete one???

 

Scott, your pics are so small I can't tell much about the tub. However, I think $300 is a good price for a tub if it's decent.

If it will work for you. Its not too bad. Looks like the floor has been replaced in the front and rear areas. Depends on what your looking for.

I payed $100 for one in simular shape, but the seller was motivated to get it out of his garage.

 

If it's okay around the fenders and rockers and all the hat channel is decent, I'd say that's a decent price. Lot cheaper than an aftermarket tub. See what else he'll throw in with it.
