well i can't measure since mine isn't all together but i am 6'2'' and i plan to do the fender notch as well. are you using stock seats or aftermarket? the difference maybe a couple inches between the two:?

Seats will make a HUGE diff. I am 5'10" and have never had to notch until I went to the PRP seats I am running.

Mine is also 17 + inches. I have aftermarket high back seats. I am 6' 5" and have no notch cut out done either and I fit fairly well. Not like my pick up but I fit. I agree seats do make the difference.
