If anyone is interested in either replacing their seat covers or just preserving
what is left of their existing seats, I would highly recommend this product.

I recently recovered my seats (to the tune of about $400.00) and was looking
for something to protect them. These seat covers (black-denim only) are inexpensive,
look good, fit well and are easy to put on and remove. This cover 29225 is for low back
    buckets.....CJ5 '65-'79 and CJ7 '76-'80. Very happy with results !!

Used them on my ratted out seats. Covers were cheap enough that I could afford the absolute highest quality foam, makes a big difference from the cheapo foam. Getum nasty? I take 'em off and wash 'em. Kind of a poor man's Boyink seat rebuild, but it works great for my trail jeep. If it was a mall crawler, maybe not so much. Before and after attached. Not the best, but they're what I've got.

wow, thats exactly what I was looking for. I wasn't even sure if they made them. $100 a pair? and black denim? works for me! thanks!:beer:

    Nice. that is prerfect.

as a side question what is the best foam to get or where can you get it to fill in a couple of area's that it is missing before adding the seat covers?

You should be able to find the foam at a fabric store that handles re-upholstery goods, or just find an upholstery shop that will direct sell high density seating foam.

You can also find high density foam on the net. I recommend that you check out the different grades available in person, however. I wound up using two different densities in my seats, glued 'em in layers. If you check out a few upholstery shops, you might get lucky and be able to buy some "scraps" of the really good stuff for cheap. Very firm foam is your friend. The softer it is, the sooner it will break down.

If you are just going to fill a hole or two in the backrest, then you can find the cheap stuff that will serve the purpose at wall mart. Sometimes you can cut the shape you need from a natural sponge, even. But if you're gonna sit on it, go with the high density stuff.
