Novak or Advance Adapters carries a adjustable pivot ball. You can adjust to different heights.

The adjustable pivot ball is usually the last line of defense, and more for fine tuning than gross adjustment that you might be seeking. My checklist would be:
    - Make sure you have a long enough throwout bearing. It should touch the front face of your T14 input bearing retainer and then have a 1/16" to a 1/8" airgap to the diaphram fingers.
    - The release arm should then be at about 5 deg. forward at rest and about 5 deg. back at actuation (or other numbers that are complimentary to each other). This is the only way to get maximum mechanical advantage.
    - The rotator rod bellcranks in the Jeep linkage should be at complimentary angles to each other

It is very common that aftermarket clutches change their height of diaphram fingers and these kits then include the wrong throwout bearing. The bearing in a GM application like this should be chosen by measurement, not by the clutch company.

If you need a list of these bearings, let me know. Best of luck. Clutches can be a butt, but it is really satisfying to get one working right.

The bearing that they sent me is 1" and I was thinking of trying the 1 1/4" bearing. Do you have any idea which part number that might be. I sure am not looking forward to pulling the trans/transfer case again. Any other thoughts?

I think what Eric was saying is Don't Guess.

Pull it apart, measure it, and get the TO bearing that you need.

You're right, I just hate the thought of pulling it out again.
