    Hello all,
I'm new to older Jeeps and was wondering if there was any place to get replacement VIN tags for a 1965 CJ5. I have all the info from the 1971 title, but the tag has long since fallen off. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    I'm confused, is this a 65 or 71 Jeep?

I'm sorry, the jeep is a 65 but the last time the title was transfered was 1971 and that is the title that has the Vin on it.

Not sure if this helps or if you're already aware of it, but a vehicle that old does not need a title to register in CT, nor does DMV do a VIN check or inspection anymore. Are you looking for a VIN plate to complete the jeep or get it registered?

Walcks sells ID plates that you put your JEEP's serial number on.

Does he have the later style plates now? I thought it was only the flatfender style stuff that he had.

Thanks, Its been awhile since I've had to sit in DMV so I thought they were going to make me get it inspected.
    Thanks again
