    Hello,

I was interested in obtaining more information on the 1965 Jeep CJs used in the LBJ inauguration parade I believe there were at least three used (red, white and blue). My family currently owes a red 1965 CJ5 Mark 4 Tuxedo Park. On the glove box door is a small rectangular brass plaque that (basically) states "this jeep was an official unit in the 1965 inaugural parade for LBJ".

I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction to obtain additional information regarding these jeeps.

I will be posting pictures shortly of the jeep.

Heh, I've asked the same question before and crickets chirped.

This is all I have in the Tux Park article.
Pictures I could use in the article would be most welcome!

Jeep, the Unstoppable Legend, Page 126 (text) and 127 (photo).

"At the Inaugural Parade on January 20, 1965, every float was pulled by a CJ. Kaiser Jeep used this opportunity for some free publicity."

I went and looked at one in PA when I was in the market. An elderly man had one and he wanted an arm and a leg because it had that plaque. Hard to find info as I searched as well. I think I did find a couple pics at one time. Gonna have to go through my "database" and see.
