Just bought 1980 CJ5

    I just bought a 1980 CJ5 and would like some info on how to ID what I have for a drivetrain. My first jeep so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Show us some pics and is it a V8 or I6?
    Should be a 258 or 304, trans SR-4 or T-176, tc Dana 300, fr axle Dnaa 30, rear AMC 20. Gear ratios 3.54 or 4.10 IIRC. More info about each of these on www.jeeptech.com - specific questions?
