What style parking lights are the norm? Clear or Amber?
For headlamps, what will fit a 57 CJ5 that supplies a good light? I read the old sealed beam style are not that bright. I did a search and was confusewd with info I found. Thanks, Paul

I put H-4,s in my 61 CJ it has the orignal wiring .so I ordered a dual headlight relay from Dick Ceepeck it will handle 700 watts per side . I used Motorcycle 7" housings They throw a nice wide beam also 80/100 bulbs.Light is NICEeasy rider

Like Gasman, I've H4's in mine.

I used IPF H4s with the same dual relay that gasman used, http://earlycj5.com/tech/electrical/headlight_relay/index.php .

The parking lamps in my '62 had clear lenses with amber bulbs, same with my '71. That's an easy change to make.

If economy is paramount I found that the Sealed Beam Wagner " Bright Lights " Series carried at my local NAPA were considerably better than other types I have tried, By that I mean an obviously brighter and whiter light.

Sylvania Silverstar Sealed beams also have a good rapport here. I've Silverstar H4s in my housings myself. The difference in my TJ (I moved the lights over to the CJ-5) was almost night and day.

Does anyone know where to buy this Dick Cepeck relay?
Dick Cepeck is no longer in business and ExtremeSuspension dosen't list it.
Does anyone know the part number?
My brain is shorting out trying to find one.
    Thanks

I am using the Delta Tech H4 headlights with zenon bulbs. They were fairly cheap when I bought them.
I havent done the relay upgrade yet, but plan to...

you can get a relay at a auto parts, or at a big truck supply (it's where I got mine). It made a huge differance when I wired one into my 6.
