Has anyone tried the Bestop Trail Cover for a CJ5, They list a cover for 80-91 CJ/Wrangler. Do you think it would fit a intermediate. Its listed for $129 in the Summit Catalog, I don't think I could get anything made locally for that price.

I'm a newb at this but from what I understand shouldn't 76- the end of the CJ production line be the same as far as tops go? I know for a 75> you'd have to change the windshield as well to make it fit.

The cj/wrangler would be for the longer wheelbase cj-7 and the wrangler which is the same wheelbase as the 7 so it would not work for the cj-5. I picked up a raingear trail cover for a cj-5 off e- bay recently for 50$ new its made for an intermediate but fits the early pretty close, He had quite a few of them so check out e-bay. I had the Bestop trail cover for my TJ and it was good quality but the raingear is a better cover.

I searched Raingear and Rain Gear in E-Bay Motors and didn't locate any tops. Do you have a link to the seller or an Idea so I can locate the seller. I also searched CJ5 cover and located a universal full cover but said may fit CJ5 looser

I've read a few reviews on the Raingear cover on some other forums, and folks seem to prefer them to the Bestops. Here's a link: http://www.jeepcovers.com/catalog.a...covers&DeptID=242126&ItemID=10010565&detail=1

They don't seem to list a specific year, although I doubt it would make much difference, as the cover looks to cover the whole windshield. I doubt if having an early or later roll bar would matter much, either. A "Family Style" bar might be a problem, though.
