Built my '71 stock CJ5 as original config with V6 and 3.73s because I thought I wanted to go down the road with traffic. This will shortly be for sale.

Now putting together another all stock CJ5 with F-Head 134, T-98 w/OD, and 5.38s. I've come around and now think the point and fun of old Jeeps is to live life in the slow lane (at least for me). So add one more to the Hurricane ranks.

I'll keep mine too. I don't need to be anywhere fast. At least I'll
    get there. ;)

My 56 has 31" tires, 5.38 gears and an OD. When I get to long, gradual hills on the freeway at 55 MPH in OD the RPM's just start dropping. They don't stop dropping at peak TQ RPM (2100) and stay there. They keep dropping until I shift it out of OD.
