Which white is the right white

I'm getting ready to blast and powder coat my rims. But, I need to know what the right color is. Does anyone know the color or how I can get a chip to give the paint guy? I am assuming the factory color for a '73 CJ-5 with 16"x5" rims is white as well.

Also, he is charging $50-$70 per rim to do the blasting and painting, does this sound fair?

    Thanks

I only see a reference for road wheel paint starting in 1978.

    wicked4x4 HEY, watch the paint!

not sure on price. blasting and powdercoating wheels (they were true spoke wheels off our 64 mgb) was $50 each. i would think painting should be less? also i'm in san diego wehre things tend to be costly.

The earlier wheels are more of a cream color, IIRC. "Snow White" sounds like more of a pure TiO2 white. Let me take a look at my wheels and see if I can match a less rusty one with a color chip from the paint store.

I brought four 15" x 10" wide, spoked wagon wheels, that I had already sandblasted, to a podwercoater, and he charged me $200.00 to powdercoat them white. So your price seems OK compared to what I paid.

I paid $200 to sandblast prime and paint 4, Wish I had got them powdercoated for that price.

I did see a reference somewhere of a creamy Ford Wimbeldon White, which I can still match. But I would like to know for sure. The powdercoat guy said it would be better for me to bring a chip to match to his suppliers rather than run codes.

By the way, he is located in Prattville, AL. He also does auto-resto work IIRC.
