think i have the wagner # still. it's not cheap though (thinking around a bill), but it looks like the one on the left, minus the rust.

Unless I'm not seeing this correctly, it looks like there are little spring fingers in there to keep the rod in place.

if this can be rebuilt ,I'll just keep it for myself where would I get a kit or a # for that .I can't even get a part # from anyone here.it's like a secret or something. I can't afford $180 from Herm . I don't see how that spring will work , if it was notched and you could pull the clip/washer and slip it over the rod that would work but it's not .the stock rod will fit in the hole just there is no way to hold it together but does it need to be ,can it be just loose in there??

The original setup in the flatties never had a retainer, it was held captive by the pedal assembly. Once you get it in there there is no way for it to come out unless you unbolt the MC.

Correct me if I am wrong.
The one on the left (with the rust coat) is a frame mount?
The one on the right (sans rust) looks to be a firewall mount.
    Is that right?

Hey, if you still need one I've got one off of a '70 or '71 Renegade in my shed. Looks just like your old one. Not sure if it works or not, but you're welcome to it.

i dont believe either of those are frame mount. i went to napas web site and the one for a 68 was a single res. frame mount. unless i am missing something here. also went to jc whitney and they show a dual res. for my 66, i am so confused. i would love to have a bolt on frame mount dual res. for my 66 without using herms bracket. so whats the deal here.

Masterofpuppets -I saw your previous post on MC's did not get anywhere either, I dont know what the deal is ,nobody has a part # other than Herm.?I don't have that $$$.I'll just drop it too, try Dummys or try the new one for $22 .

the new one does fit the frame mount you have to shim it away from the frame to take the cap off a thick lock washer or flat washer works been down that road
