Fluids to use

I was wondering if the diffs, the TC and the 3 speed (manual)trans all use the same fluid? I want to change all 4 since I got the jeepster out of a field. Any recommendations on what stuff to use?

 

If I remember correctly, they all use 80-90wt gear lube.
I'd use the newer 75-90wt synthetic though, its makes thing alot easier to shift when the temps drop and everything is cold.

 

Heard of a lot of guys using Royal Purple.

 

Yea that to...Pure synthetic...good stuff, but a bit pricey
I dont use it, I use what I can buy easily for when I travel, no compatability issues if I have problems.

 

I buy what's good and on sale .

 

Sounds good guys. I have some Amsoil gear oil I forgot about I will use that up first.
