    hi
what is the most flexiblest suspension 2-3" for my 68cj5?
i have the heavy duty springs in the rear and they do not move:cry:

i like when my car crawls over something, i plan at least 100:1 crawl ratio.
this is what i had in my tj 2.5l, here a video

I would say the Rubicon Express 2.5" lift springs, but convert to the wider YJ springs, they flex better. Some fab involved for shackels and hangers and whatnot, but I'd say converting to those R.E. 2.5" YJ lift springs is your best bet.

Take a look at this - looks kind of interesting:

Nice and flexy. I don't know much more about them than that. I ended up installing a Pro-Comp 2.5" lift in my '55. Not so flexy but it was easy to install and didn't require new hangers.

its the same work as the yj spring swap i think.

Each of the kits above require some fab work. If you want a strictly bolt-on solution, look into the Skyjacker Softride springs in the 2 - 2.5" lift. These springs flex well and give a softer ride than other bolt-on spring sets. They will tend to sag a bit after a year or so, especially if your rig is heavier than stock. That happened on my '71, and I compensated by running slightly longer shackles after the sag set in.
    The flex remained superb.

The Holbrook springs are actually less work than doing the YJ conversion as you only add one spring hanger to each spring and don't have to change/modify spring mounts on the axle. Well, you don't HAVE to change or modify the spring mounts on the axle with the YJ leaves but they are wider the the mounts really should be changed.

Install time for the Holbrooks < half a day. The longest part was drilling through the frame to test fit with bolts before burning them in.

Love them - will do them again...

I'm considering the Rocky Road YJ conversion (http://www.rocky-road.com/cj-to-yj.html) for my 60 CJ5. Not looking for lift, just a replacement for the immovable (read rigid) stock springs. Anyone have any experience with this setup?

Holbrook's, (Ed. Gary, and David) are very old school and aren't super computer savvy. Be patient. Some of the best shops are the old-school ones who don't do computer stuff well. I'd send them another e-mail or you can call them at 503-655-4747. I understand you are across a very large pond however.
