Body mounts

ok, So i just got my girlfeiends 73 cj-5. And i am pretty sure its in need of some mounts. When you press the clutch in the body lift up about 4 inches..... LOL

and looking under there. most mounts are missing. Bolts are missins etc.

My questions is how many body mounts total are there? and Where is a good place to get a whole kit?

Try 4wdhardware...or any other Jeep supplier. There are kits available with the right number. Just get one for 72-75.

 

Im going to get the energy suspension kit. Says it has 14 mounts. that sound right? Hope this isnt to much of a pain

 

14 will be enough to do the job. As said, make sure the hat channel underside and the floor panels where the bolts go through are not all rusted out.

 

NO major rust as far as i can see. where two of the bolts go through on the floor the body has shifted(due to no mounts) and cracked the floor. But i big washer should take car of that. And how many total mounts are there on the jeep?

 

o and if the kit doesnt come with bolts. will any grade 8 work fine??

 

sure. grade 5 should be okay too. The sheet metal will go long before the bolt anyway.
