Does anyone know of a good engine shop/guy around Mid-Michigan who could rebuild my F134? I appreciate any help!

    Sorry,
I do not know anyone in Michigan that will rebuild but I have an extra one from a "62" complete in my barn on a 1000lb motor stand if you need one.It didn't smoke or use oil when removed.

There is one in Ohio around Canton I think. My cousin has had a couple 350's done for his s10. I will find out exactly if your interested!

I may be interested in just a different motor eventually if I cannot find someone who could rebuild mine... my current engine doesn't burn oil, starts good, has good oil pressure, etc. but it just doesn't have the power it did a few years ago. I was thinking that a fresh rebuild would help it out... I'd really like to keep it original (not swap a V8 or something in it).

Jason, does the guy/shop around Canton usually rebuild these old Jeep engines or is it just an engine shop?

Thanks again for your guys' help!

    That's fine 65tux,
Hey, is that around Holland beach behind your JEEP in your Avatar? Nice beach, kinda looks like San Diego without the salt water.

I expect if you find a good shop, they will do fine. The operations they perform are not specific to the F134 or older engines. Magnaflux will be your friend (or enemy, depending on the results).

I had many engines done in kalamazoo michigan. The napa on centre street does a fantastic job. I believe the gentlemans name is tom. Cleanest shop I have ever been in

Clean parts and a clean work area are essential for a good outcome. Reflects well on the shop and staff.

I used Alpine Performance in Gaylord to do the machine shop work on my last rebuild. I was very satisfied on the work and the price. Give them a call and see if they can meet your needs.
