I just recently finished installing a 231 w/ an HEI into my 1964 CJ5. I also put on a rebuilt Rochester dualjet from the factory. I had it running, but it would only run for about 10 minutes and then stop running. I checked fuel and spark, seemed like I was getting both. When I checked the spark plugs, they would be covered in fuel. I adjusted float, seemed like it was getting to much gas. Now I get no spark and the dang thing won't start.

When I check Volts at the wire going into the distributor, not connected, it reads 12 volts, when I connect it to the distributor I lose all the volts. I have replaced the control module and the coil with no change. I also found a wire on the condenser that was broken and repaired that. Still nothing. What could it possibly be?

You didn't by chance leave the ballast resistor connected when you upgraded to the HEI?
