Just wanted to thank everyone who has given me advice on my intermittent miss and rich condition.
I now have it running tip top!!

    Here is what fixed it...........
I put another kit in the carb and replaced the plastic float with a new brass one. This cured my rich condition but not the miss. I believe that the float was the culprit. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get it set low enough. It just seemed too big for the bowl.

The miss was fixed by moving the #1 plug to the correct position in the dist. cap. I tried this last week but I inadvertantly put #1 on the wrong small contact.
I was convinced that it would make no difference anyway but after getting some great advice here, I realized that I don't quite know everything.

The jeep now runs much better than I ever imagined it could. On the first test drive, I hit 100 mph!!
Don't worry, that was the first and last time for that kind of speed in something that short.;)

    Thanks again,
    Curtis
