Grizzly One Hard top Price Question!!!!

I found a Grizzly one top for sale, it is about an hour away from me. Anyway, the guy wants 500 firm for the top. It is for a 1979 CJ5. The doors seem in good shape, it has all the windows. However, the weather stripping for the windows is bad, the hardware is rusted, and to my dismay after 15 emails, I was told it has a crack in the middle of the top from the top falling off a trailer while on the interstate.

How much is this top worth. I can fix it, I'm pretty good with fiberglass. What is the value? Other than the crack, it looks to be in ok shape. No pieces missing. In light of the crack, how much would you pay?

What year is your jeep?

At 79 top will not fit a 55-75 cj5 without swapping to a 76+ windshield

The top should be for a 1976-1989 CJ? Anyway, I have the same jeep and year model as the seller. It should work. Just in case I will be bringing my Cj down to fit it on the spot. I have a 79.

 

So you sold one in good shape, repaired for $250?

No such thing as an 89 CJ. The CJ5 stopped production in 83, the CJ8 in 85/86, and the CJ7 in 86.

But yes, the top in question should work on any 76-83 CJ5 if it is currently on a 79 CJ5, and that means it will work on yours.

 

I wasnt sure about the specifics however i was sure it worked. What is it worth?
