I know bigger is better, but is it worth the cash to get the 2/0 battery cable vs 2 gauge? Thanks

From an electrical POV, the smaller cable is fine. A larger cable will have a lower resistance for the same length, but if important, an impact would only be realized when starting. The added resistance would mean a slightly lower current for the starter.

For a passenger car engine without outrageously high compression or cranking forces, I can't imagine that it would matter.
