Looking for information on swapping out a T-84 and installing a T-90, is it a direct swap or are there other parts needed?:?

Take a look at the novak adaptor . com site and look under knowledge base for the T-90's for comparison. Looks like the T90A and T-90C may be what you are looking for.

It should be a direct swap unless the pilot bushing is a different size.

Did that swap in an MB. The T90 will bolt up to existing bell and D18. The T90 is a little longer (1/2"?) so you have to move the crossmember back a bit. The driveshaft splines were long enough in the one we were working on that no change was necessary on those. That may not be true if you have lift springs with more arc.

I don't have a T-84 for comparison but my info sez the pilot size is the same.

Yep, we didn't have to change the pilot.

x-mem needs to be moved back about an 1" or so.

if your running a mb/gpw tub your floor is going to need to be modified for your t-case shifters. same with your tranny cover plate.

you can get a cja2/3a x-mem... and tranny cover plate to us or to use as a guide.

clutch cable needs to be lengthen or just get a cj. the engine stay cable needs to be lengthened (cable from the x-mem to engine).

you can use the bellhousing, clutch, flywheel... tranny foward.

edit: if you move your x-mem your going to have to redo/rebuild/mod your body mounts.

oh forgot the clutch tube needs to be moved too.

your best bet is to find a parts rig with a 4cyl t-90/18 combo and just pick it clean.
