Another, but different, wheel question

In the boonies of northern California, back when I bought a new '73 Jeep, I went to the local tire store in a mountain town of 2,000 or so and bought a set of plain steel 8" or 10" reverse rims for it. I did and still do think that was a great look on a CJ 5. It was such a non-event that I don't recall what the source was (even assuming that they still exist today). Now, in looking to do the same with my '60, I can't find a source. Anybody know of a vendor ? I've checked out Stockton Wheel, but I can't get past some of the horror stories with them posted by local rodders. Can't imagine how that would work with me sitting on the Gulf Coast. Other places (Summit) have chrome reverse wheels that I don't want. Any suggestions ?

See if a local machine shop can build what you want from junkyard cores?

Patrick, Really like the way those look. How wide are the rims & what size tires are you running?

    They're 8" wheels. Tires are 33X10.50

That's IT, Patrick. Wow! Where'd you say you park your jeep, OJ? W3 - good thought and I've checked around and through a couple of old school rodders I know that run steel - there appears to be noboby around here that has the skills and or desire to build them. Just for laughs, I took a look on line for KH jeep wheels. Looks like they're kinda scarce - and it doesn't look like anybody is trying to clone them. Couple of places apparently are still making them. So, here comes more ignorance - the reading I've done indicates that the the KH rims preclude the use of 11" brakes or discs. Not that its an issue for me, but it makes me aware of backspacing issues. Those KHs look quite "deep" - any idea on what the KH backspace is? I can't come up with it. I really appreciate the input.

Correction. Run on sentence or something. There are still places making custom steel rims - but not those great KHs.

Crap, I was out there and forgot. I'll get it tomorrow. IIRC it was something close to 4"; a tad more than most standard aftermarket wheels, but not much.

Looking at the general offerings that some on-line wheel shops have, if the BS is 4", it shouldn't be too hard to get a set fabricated. Appreciate the input from y'all.

I forgot to measure those again..:) Standard back space for aftermarket wheels is more like ~3 3/4"

Yup, standard back spacing on aftermarket wheels for cj's is 3 3/4"

Another round of thanks in order to you gents. I think to get an approximation of the KH whells, I'm going to have to order them built. After doing some measuring on the wheels that are on my rig, discovered that the PO had several different wheels spread around it. All are 5 on 5.5" and appear to be the same width. However, the center holes vary in diameter. It appears that I need about a 4.25" center hole to clear front hubs - the hubs are close to 4.0" - does that sound reasonable? Also, while I'm bleeding you guys for info - are stud holes an industry standard or do they need to be spec'd to the shop who builds them? Appreciate the help.

Is it an illusion, or is there a neon light behind the grill?

LED's. I've had blue lights behind the grill for 14 years..

The wheel stud holes need to be for 1/2" studs which is standard on cj's. Other vehicles like later waggy's and 1/2 ton Jeep pu's (6 lug) used 7/16"'studs iirc.
