Ok guys I need yalls expertise...

I finished rebuilding my D20 (with a novak twin stick) and T14. I bolted them up last night and everything seems fine, but when I put the transfer case into 2HI (rear output) it seems the gear is just barely hanging onto the transmissions output gear. It looks to be about an 1/8th of an inch. It lines up perfectly in 2L and 4L, am I just being paranoid??

This isnt the best picture in the world but it seems like there should be enough room for the gears to engage more.

Any help is appreciated, I would never be as far as I am if it wasn't for this great forum!

You need full engagement between the input gear and slider gear. What the pic shows is not enough. Is this installed in the vehicle? If so check and see if something is not allowing the linkage/shifters full travel.

Its sitting on my bench in the garage right now. I would assume its something to do with shift rails... But it goes into the low position just fine...

Check and make sure the set screw for the fork is in the indention in the shift rail. If out of place it won't allow proper travel in relation to the detents.
