So I am new to this forum and new to jeeps, again after 20 years since the last one, seen lots of great info here. I did some research on my 67 cj5 with the 225 v6 seems it has a dane 18 single stick transfer case. in this rebuild should I stick with this? What is the deal on the back of it that the drive line hooks to, it looks like, im not sure it has springs and stuff on it.
As far as the tranny it is a 3 speed and still reasearching that, the numbers I see on it are T900??? Any info will help and I will soon start a frame up rebuild in the short future, just want to compile some info before I get started. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOUchainsawguy

If its a factoru v6 jeep it should be a T86 but they share some parts with the t90 including the top cover. The rear of the dana 18 transfercase has a parking brake on it. These are very simple very durable transfercases that have lower gears tha nthe dana 20 that has a centered output on it.

Just preference, single stick is fine if it's lubed up properly and the little pins aren't broken in the linkage.
