7/15 update: all remaining items no longer available. Posting locally. Thanks for the looks.

    Hello all,

First time posting items in classified, so please remain patient with me. I have a bunch of junk to me that may or may not be of interest to folks here. All of these items were removed from my ’58 CJ5 I no longer need. Before posting on local Craigslist and/or throwing in the recycle bin, I figured it might be worth it to someone to add their own pile of parts.

I would much prefer for someone local to pick up, maybe bring a 6pk and chit-chat. If there is something below that absolutely needs and willing to pay shipping, I’ll offer to box up into medium or large flat-rate box at buyer’s expense. Last I checked, med flat-rate = $18.40, lg flat-rate $24.75.

    Item list:

    4 - Original 9” drums, all parts including cobwebs/dirt/grease - $5ea

1 – Old starter with messed up gear maybe worth rebuilding, sell it as a core - $10

    1 – Steering bellcrank - $free or trash

1 – Single Master Brake Cylinder with plate, unknown status - $free or trash - GONE

1 – PTO winch. Removed and never tested. All parts I removed will come with it. Koenig 51 single stick, ??? brand winch. Cobwebs/dirt/grease come free with it! $400 (pick up only. Sry)

Random removed and replaced parts, clutch, og brake top thingies, odds & ends your pick - $free or trash

1 – Ross? Steering box/column/wheel. Will need some TLC. Cobwebs/dirt/grease come free - $25 (pick up only. Sry)

1 – sheet metal rusted toolbox. $free or trash (pick up only. Sry) - GONE

1 – OG steering linkage - $free or trash (pick up only. Sry)

1 – Drawbar. $20 (pick up only. Sry)

The toolbox... are you sure you don't want to ship it?... if it was priced higher. I had one shipped from CA a year or so ago and might do it again.

In my honest opinion, its not worth salvaging the rusted sheet metal and shipping cost. I butchered the edges pretty bad cutting it out. Start up a pm and ill send you more pics via text if you like. If it is something you really want and cover the shipping, i'll try to find a box large enough to fit.

I can fit that with the bracket in a med size no problem. Just confirmed and found I have a second master cylinder without the bracket I'll be happy to throw in the box if you wish. LMK via PM thx.

How much does the PTO stuff weight without the cable? Just curious how much that all weight's in at or ifs more the size that makes it hard to ship

Looks like it was $70 to ship last year from CA to MO... I got an idea while looking at what I have, for a new direction I want to go.

    Thanks anyway!

Whew okay thanks. I just walked up to side of garage and realized it did indeed take it to the dump last week. My apologies will edit my original post.

It would be the overall weight and awkwardness with the combined parts. I wouldn’t put it in one box. There’s no cardboard box I can duct tape to hades and back that would likely survive. Good idea on removing the cable, but not really interested in going through the hassle. I would just like it gone and out of my garage.

I literally removed it from the frame and never thought of it since until I posted. Don’t even know if there is a free spool position or not honestly. I got it to spin a 1/4 turn after removing the pto shafts. That’s as far as I went investing time on it.

I’ll likely post it on local Craigslist. If no one buys it then, I’ll consider reconditioning it and remove that old cable.

If I was close by id get it but yea, more than one box for sure. I had someone build a 2x4 and plywood box for a radiator for me once. That worked out good.

In addition to termin8ed's idea you could also build a simple metal frame around it and drop it in a cardboard box, similar to how motorcycles are shipped.

Is the steering box a 7/8" sector shaft or 15/16" sector shaft?

I removed it from my original stock ‘58 CJ5, so I imagine it would be the common 7/8”.

I’ll be pulling this ad down when I get home this evening. Forgot to pull last night. Thx all gunna move items to Craigslist.
