Working on the 231 v6 to put in my 3b. Put in the oil pump repair kit and the cover plate, now the gears wont turn. I checked clearance with a strait edge and gauge, and there is basically none. Who makes a thicker gasket for these? I gotta believe the gasket is the difference. The one that came with the kit is very thin.
    Thanks in advance

Could you cut your own out of thicker material? I have several rolls of material, different thickness'. Made a number of my own because I didn't want to chase down a pre-cut piece.

Should have been multiple gaskets in your kit to shim housing with.

I thought so to. The only one with the kit was paper thin.
I found rebuild kits on the TA site, but not a choice, or selection of gaskets. Might call, and get some help.

There should have been at least 3 different thicknesses with the kit.
