    Lucky me ?
I received in my letter box 2 parcels from USA, with the help of DHL.
With your help- many thanks- I put my order at RockAuto on Sunday 18th.
    Ignition parts.
And on Wednesday 21st, they are here.
I'll check later if it fits well... hoping for a good surprise.
The description of parts, which replacement, pictures, was well made and... in French or something similar.
These are new parts, not exactly the same quality as origin, maybe but it is new.
I'll see soon it it works.
About what we call in French "vis platinées", probably "contact set" for "points", I'll see later because I believe that to move the cylinders I must put /pull the Jeep, I have to remember how I was doing with a light... Maybe I'll do this at the pro shop, not being alone.
    :waiting:

Yes for sure. I cannot find an equivalent in France. The transport is expensive but custom taxes are included with DHL.
I hope that the products are good quality, it seems correct.
Price of goods are very interesting.
I must say that it is always wrong to say that a product is cheap because it is not commercial. It is always too much expensive!
I'll know soon about the quality.
I have seen that these parts are made cheaper than from origin... But if they work.

Try pulling on the fan belt. (Take out the spark plugs if necessary.)

Yes, that's true, that's what I did in the past. All plugs off...
That's surprising how we forget (or how I forget :n:) I had many lives and when I see pictures, or when I see what I did, for example electricity in the buildings, I made it... Sometimes my remaining old friends tell me... you remember this or that and yes it comes back in memory.
I was quite active and a little bit adventurous, so...
What is bad is that I had knowledge or created processes in industry and they have disappeared, so maybe nobody will remember how we did.
I try to transmit to children, and I have some souvenirs from my parents and grand-parents, uncles, aunts...
These ancestors were born around 1870/1880, they told me and I transfer the best as I can.
That should be mandatory at school to teach how was life just before! Life of parents and grand-parents. Oral transmission. Documents.
Where children come from! It is not prehistoric!

Yes, tears in the rain... I like very much Philip Kindred Dick. He sees the mankind in his wholeness, totality, including our future. Maybe...

I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

If pulling on the fan belt does not work you can put a wrench on the crankshaft nut. That's how I normally do it.

Yes, Mr Petel, this is me... I have seen so many marvels, meet so many nice people... Time to die ? Not really I have to drive my Jeep with the new ignition, so nice.
But... I never made things by challenge, only by pleasure.

It is all of us, yes?

We want our memories and experiences to survive. But they cannot. Each generation must have their own.

Yes, all of us, or I hope so...
But I would say that many of my friends are a little bit jealous : you don't really start biking or scuba diving at 65...
That's possible, but not the same. As well as for tennis and other sports.
My luck was to have time when young to experiment. ;)
This is why I give help to my children to do the same...
Everyday is a gift, no good to spoil it.
Let's be serious! The subject was ignition...
I did change some parts and I made a trip to the cheese farm (cow milk cheese).
Weather was nice, we have a hot wind from Africa which is pleasant.
So, the Jeep was perfect, at all rpm, in 3rd gear, smooth and power.
I made some shopping, cheese, fresh cheese, and honey from their fields.
It is brown honey mixed flowers including buckwheat (Sarrazin in French).
They just have 2 hives, it is home made honey.
