Well, that's nice to know! So you "man-handled" the T-14 by yourself? Any idea what it weighs?

I’ve had mine in and out a few times by hand. Don’t know if I could do it now a days.

A little late, I know, but,
Whenever I install a transmission separated from the t case, I like to insure the rear bearing/mainshaft doesn't slide back out of the casing. I usually lay a crescent wrench across the top of the bearing and bolt the handle to the transmission casing using one of the t case mounting bolt holes. I've found this helps when on my back trying to maneuver the trans around using the front and rear shafts.

According to novak, the T14 is 80lbs....it's been awhile since I had my T14 out, but seems about right. About the same as the t90 I just pulled out of the 57.

The trans seemed light and is small enough to handle by yourself and I used mechanics wire to hold the shaft in. The T case was heavier, so I laid on my back with it on my chest, I actually installed the T case twice, 1st time no gasket or silicon, just to see if I could, and the 2nd time gaskets/ sealer in place, it took some effort in getting the gears to mesh. I'm going to finish the install this evening and go for a shake down drive to see if anything falls off.
