Newer battery, nice quiet exhaust, warn hubs, extra gas cans, hi lift jack, trailer hitch

Transfer case mod for 2 wheel drive low range

Pretty much rust free, has a few battle scar reminders, garage parked in Arizona

Heck, if I was in the market for yet another JEEP, I'd pay a hauler to bring it to me. Worth every penny of the shipping price to get a good body back here to the rust belt.

 

Worth considering cost of a hauler. I am going to get some quotes.

 

You’ll spend more on body work to fix up an east coast jeep than you will on a hauler. That’s what I found anyway. That was years ago though.

I found out it is a bad idea to request a shipping quote on-line, unless one enjoys getting constant messages via email, phone calls from people who barely speak english, and text messages blowing up the phone.

A few of the responses were from legitimate haulers, but most were from questionable sources, and "brokers" who don't even own a truck. The quotes from legitimate haulers were between $1100 and $1200 which isn't so bad considering a distance of near 1900 miles.

I feel your pain, shipped a car from Seattle to Vista, CA a few years ago, 1220 miles $700. Guess I was lucky to find a good shipper. If you ever find you need to p!ss off someone just give their phone number to a shipping company.

 

Meanwhile, the thermal units have risen in Havasu to the point I needed to bail back to California, dry heat my a$$! I can make arrangements if interested or my next trip out is in 5-6 weeks.

I had a great aunt and uncle who lived out there, they made their living as potters. Back around 1971 -1972 they drove their 1962 Chevy truck to Tennessee to visit my grand parents, she was my grandfather's sister. When they got into Tennessee they encountered a storm, and found out that the wipers on their truck did not work. They had bought the truck new, but had never needed the wipers in AZ. Maybe that is what they mean by "Dry Heat" ?

 

Still better than your 90deg with 50 percent humidity. That is about halfway to raining without the rain.

 

Heading back to Havasu Friday for a week or so, jeep is still available. Also selling my 2006 LJ Rubicon Unlimited.
