Are you planning on outboarding your rear springs as well or leave them in the stock location? Also, since Im new to toyota stuff myself, I had a fellow toyota lover and wheeler give me a little tip about working on the front axles. If you take the hub cap off, take the end snap right off the axle shaft then bolt the cap back on. All you got to do then I take the bolts for the seals off, 4 top bolts for steering arm/king pin and the hole knuckle just pops right off. Kind of nifty. Has your hi steer showed up yet?

I am not going to out board my rear springs, just moving the perches in on the axle.

I did get my high steer and its all in and the front is more or less done. I have run out of time to work on it till next week but ill see if i can snap a few pics.

Its been a bit since I have been able to get much done on the jeep, just little things that don’t cost $$$. The steering is in and all plumed up, the front end is more or less finished except for the breaks ($).

My beater jeep :smash: (sorry not an EarlyCJ) grabbed my attention for a little bit, it mostly spends its time on the trails around the house and at the local tuff truck/rock races. As you can probably see from the pics it likes trees and other immovable objects as well as air time

    [IMG][/IMG]

It suffered a broken rear-end and some snapped leaves during its last outing so since I like junk yards so much. It got a nice CHEAP 8.25 chrysler rear end and some S-10 leaves that I took the helpers out of for a little more squish and a bit less bounce. . . .

The great thing about a beater is that if you do smoke somthing like a tree, rock or anything else, it aint a big deal. And thats got to be the biggest snorkle I have ever seen haha.

Is that a fj60 front or a 40? I as really concerned about how close the pig would be to the spring perch on a 60. But, think your picture answered that question. I really like the Width and will be probably be using your setup later in my build.

Do you planning on using a sammy power booster/ hanging pedals or keeping the jeeps current setup?

I see that now. Really like the stance (but really want to use a fj60) cant wait to see how the front drive shaft off the 300 aligns with that pig.

Im using toyota axles as well in my build on this site and the front drive line is going to sit really well. I pulled my front axle 3 inches forward (towards the bumper) and am using a np435/D300 combo which is about the same length as his here. The rear is going to be a little short and steep but the front wont be an issue. I bought yokes that will go onto my 300 and have the toyota pattern on them. Any reason why you want to use a fj60 front?
