I used a Currie twin stick setup for my 75 years ago and more recently on my 7. Not familiar with the JB kit but the Currie kit had you cut the tab off that your finger is pointing to. You attach the plates to either side of the other part and put the bolt through the whole shebang. Curries current instructions make no mention of it; in fact they're rather vague.

Here's another install pic that might help...

    Hope this helps...

Hey nickmil, when you read this, I have a question....
What are these extra parts for I got back in a bag after the rebuild?

Those are parts from the single stick shifter. Pivot pin second from the right that goes through the bores on the shifter housing. The bushings on the pin are not stock as the the stock ones were plastic. Someone replaced them with brass/bronze type bushings. The black part on the right is the actuator the single stick fits into. It goes in the slots of the shift rails. Unused with the twin stick conversion which is why I didn't install it. The washer is for the pivot pin and two hitch pins go through the shift rails and through the two slots in the actuator on far right holding it in but allowing it to pivot as one shift rail or the other is moved. The square things in the middle are the fork inserts. Yours were worn and so were replaced when I rebuilt the transfer case. They snap onto the shift fork and ride inside the sleeve that locks onto the gears. You can throw these away. Don't throw the other parts away. Some of this stuff is getting harder to find.

They changed the Currie unit. You no longer need to cut the housing. I put mine in about 13 or so years ago and no cutting was necessary.

Thanks nick, I will keep the bag and put it away with the extra case I have now. It's all put together and awaiting placement on the frame so thank you for your awesome work. Maybe some day I can see your rig.
