'88 manifolds on a '76?

    I have a chance to pick up a set of '88 intake/exhaust manifolds to do a single draft to a double barrel set up. I want to go to a MC 2100. Will the '88's work on my '76? This is for a 258

    Yes, they will fit. Be sure to get the throttle cable bracket and bellcrank that bolts to the intake manifold - it will make your installation much easier. Has to be from a carbureted 258, not a 4.0L.

    I'm running manifolds from an '85 CJ on my '77 J10. You may have to notch the power steering bracket a little. You'll have to modify your 2100 to pull down on the throttle rather than pull back, and buy an adapter for the carb base.
