I spent yesterday working on the jeep. I installed a summit heater last fall, and had one hose going to the defrost, and the other hole just open. I wanted something that directed the heat more central, and came up with this.

This is the air filter box out of a dodge omni, so now I can direct all the air to defrost. I am using my stock vacuum controls.

I made a quick cover out of plywood to see if it works. I will have to make a better looking cover.

I like how you're thinking out of the norm. Very ingenious!

Went for a good ride last night, to see the changing fall colors. It works very well.

I have the Summit heater too & managed to fabricate a little bracket yesterday that fits it up under the passenger side very nicely & securely. It is certainly going to be a big upgrade for the heat/defrost. I'm still looking at possible options for ducting that will give me better flow control...thanks for posting pics.

Did some more fab work, and added a dome light.

Very nice. Add a couple more vents on each side so it blows at each persons feet and instead of the dome light, add a second vent and you could have very adjustable heating directions.
