Mornin guys. I got the R&P dual master conversion done & went to put new shoes & wheel cylinders on the front & found that one of the PO's (maybe all of them) ;) had used the tried & true method for removing the wheel nuts...a BFH & screwdriver. They're pretty gouged up & I need to replace them...is this what I need? http://www.jeep4x4center.com/nut-spindle-kit-a867k.html
Looking at the lock washer, it's different from the one that's currently on it...the one that's on the jeep now has a tab on top that was bent over the outer nut...

Yep, those will work. Lightly pre-bend the lock so it's easier to turn it up after you get it on.

"the one that's on the jeep now has a tab on top that was bent over the outer nut..."

The washer is supposed to be bent as described, after installation, to lock the nut and hold it once adjusted. With care they can be flattened and reused a few times, by bending at a fresh section..

Inexpensive welded steel spindle nut wrenches are available at FLAPS. Nice to have.

I'm gonna have to get wheels too... I only took off the right side but it was chewed up pretty bad. I'm expecting the left will look no better.

I'll never understand how people can stand the sound of metal on metal...

    Wheels?

You mean Drums? They can be lathe-turned at a brake shop if they aren't too far gone.

Tom, I think I found replacements for the 10" drums from Advance Auto.
Did you get the drums to separate easily from the hubs?

Don't buy the new nut kit. They are ever so slightly thicker than the original 25/27 spindle nuts, and will not leave you enough thread to get the last spindle nut on. get the grinder out and clean up your nuts if you can, or find a slightly cleaner set of original nuts.

regarding the nuts, I used the ones from 4wd fit fine this was about 5-6 years ago, I might have them still. I pulled apart a Dana 27 a while back.

OOps, just rear the OP again. With drum brakes you should be fine, its the new nuts coupled with disc brake conversions that creates issues.
