I'm following your lead. How long did you soak the exhaust manifolds in "The Works"?
Is one container enough for both? Did you find a reasonable supplier?

Depends if you use it straight or not. Cut in half with water , a day. Less if using less water.

One container is more than enough. I got it on ebay

Finally got to do some therapy work, been awhile but I have to make the money to spend it o_O
My original oil pan had a pin hole in it so I found another one from a member here

    Got her sanded

    Prepped with Por-15 metal prep

A little scotch bright sanding and primer

Back to Buick green. Hope to get the old one off and this one on this week and get her started again to fix a few drips and leaks

She's peaking out of her storage spot

She survived pretty well for being in a dark damp basement for over 8 months

So other than an oil leak from not having the speedometer cable attached it looks like my temp. Switch is leaking, probably cracked

Since this is my first engine rebuild I keep waiting for the big kaboom. Still run perfect though

I couldnt seem to keep where the speedometer cable attaches from dripping oil no matter how hard I tightened it

So I made a cork gasket for it, hopefully there will be no drips under it in the morning, thats my Jeep accomplishment of the day

That's a clever idea. Mine's leaking too.and I thought it must be something in the gear housing. Keep us posted on whether your fix worked.

Good idea with the cork. I wonder if a garden hose o-ring would work?

    One leak fixed...Eight to go!
