I'd been looking for brake shoe return springs for 10" brakes, and couldn't find any threads that provided a source for new springs. After much searching I found both the upper and lower springs, along with other brake parts at MidwestJeepWillys.com:

I looked for those lower springs for a long time. I actually emailed midwest about the length of that spring and it was much shorter than my originals. Count the coils on the new one from midwest then count the original. I finally found a spring the same length but a bit thicker from Summit racing. $ 5.00 for all 4. The extra thickness was not an issue.

Thanks for the info guys. I've been wondering what I was going to do with my 10" brakes.

    Johns1967cj5,

My 71 has a different lower spring. I have the one that is listed on the Midwest Jeep Willys site, part # 945306, for a 66-71 CJ5 with 10" brakes and a V6:

Do you have the Summit part number for those springs? I'd like to have some on hand should I ever need to switch to manual adjustment. I know that if I ever damage or lose any of my self adjustment parts I'll probably never be able to find replacements.
