Brake proportioning valve???

    Sounds like a blockage in the system. Have seen the rubber hoses collapse on the inside causing similar problems.

    Disassembled the entire front brake line system. It appeared that the two front hoses were clogged with the rust debris from the old master cylinder. I replaced both front hoses, and the brakes seem to be functioning better.

    UPDATE: brakes still did not work right. When bleeding the front brakes the pedal still would not go all the way to the floor, indicating that something had to be wrong with the new O'Reilly's master cylinder that I had installed. I ordered an OEM master cylinder from Parts Train, installed it and the brakes bled and worked fine.
