So I had a machine shop rebuild my offset 44 and add a Lock Right. They left out the spacer that the axle shafts would butt up too. I hauled it back as I can't set the end play on the axles. They say it doesn't fit ( spacer) and is not needed. Anyone else run into this?

If you have tapered axles, yes it is needed and they don't know what they are talking about. If you have flanged axles, it is not needed. Since you had a spacer in there I assume you have tapered axles. If you've converted to full float axles it also is not needed.

Yes tapered. I went over there today and said I'd wait while they took it apart. They didn't have a slide hammer to pull the axles...mehh After insisting the spacer fits and is necessary one of the shop guys will bring a slide hammer from home tomorrow..... I think I'll do the D30 at the sandblasters myself. This has been a 25yr + start stop build. I can finally afford to choose my battles and farm some stuff out. Just need to find a place to farm out to..........
