Could someone please tell me what are the ohm readings for the gas tank sending unit for a 1969 Jeep CJ5 V6? I need the Full and Empty Ohm readings. I really do not want to have to pull my sending unit out of my tank and someone told me if I remember correctly it was 73 Ohms Full and 10 Ohms Empty. Presently I cannot get an accurate reading on my gas gauge (sorry it's an aftermarket Autometer Sports Comp).

    Thanks,

    Robert

You need to make sure you match the correct gauge to the sender. I went through all the trouble of getting a new gauge from the dealer for my 77 cj5 and installing before knowing there were couple different ones. I ended up having to drop the tank and get the correct rated sender. super PITA.

My gauge was a STOCK part from the dealer. That was 1990 or so... It was almost not worth it. the gauge was stock and so was the sender. One STOCK gauge was opposite the other.

73 ohms empty and 10 ohms for full. Your just backwards.
