So , putting a water pump in and the impeller is making contact with the hole . I have shifted it up , down, left and right and I can make the contact lessen but still there. Soooo, grind off a little of the impeller ???? widen the hole???
    What do you think ??

I don't remember ever having an issue with a 134 waterpump not fitting. The easiest thing would be to return it, get one from another source. If this was something that had to be running this weekend I would consider taking a Dremel tool to the motor, flushing the heck out of it, or finding somebody with a lathe to take a bit off off the impeller. Niether of the last 2 options should have to be done.

Exactly. It could be "fixed" but the real question is why. It's trying to tell you that something is fundamentally wrong.

That needs to be resolved, not covered up.

The impeller was not pressed on the shaft far enough. I ran into this same issue many years ago with a remanned piece. I put the waterpump in a huge vice and closed up the gap from the impeller to the pump casting. It fit fine after this modification. I would be looking for a replacement.

Another fine example of not getting what you pay for. Good fix though!

O.K. so to update. got the impeller down on the shaft a little more and interference is still there.ordered another pump today.
BTW.... Rockauto is a pretty cool place for parts.

It was actually transferred from an engine with a cracked block. it worked fine in that engine, soooo I really dont know what the issue was
