Does anyone on this board have or know anyone that has done a link suspension on a early cj? I have been doing a Teraflex LCG kit on a buddies tj and I think I could duplicate something similar on a early cj5 if I were to build a new chassis. I want to keep the jeep low and only run a 35 tire. This jeep may be built to run in some comps here on the east coast. Thanks for your time.

Go for it. I'd like to see a homemade link suspension for a CJ!

Sounds Great I Did A 69 And Used Stock Tj Coils And Did Some Custom Links And Use It To Compete Here On The West Coast I Ended Up With A 94 Inch Wheelbase With A Little Trimming. That Will Keep You Lower And Very Stable Im Interested In The Drive Train Of Choice For Competition Levels

If you're building a new chassis.....aren't you in the end doing about the same as plopping an ECJ body onto a TJ chassis?

I am going to run the Dauntless on propane. I'm going to build the engine to a higher comp ratio to take advantage of the octane. I was thinking about running a SM420, but, now I'm thinking of BOP TH350 or PGlide mated to a Dana300 or Atlas. CJ5Freak, do you have any pics of your rig, give me more details. How do you like the CJ5 for a platform. Thanks...

Sorry For The Delayed Reply I Unfrtunately Dont Have The Ability To Post Pics Yet Sorry. As Far As The Cj-5 For The Platform My Only Complaint Is Obviously The Shortness, And Obviously Results In Short Drivelines. However I Am A Fan Of The Full Body Rigs As Apposed To The Buggies So Less Panels To Dent Or Atleast Not As Much. My Drivetrain Was Acually A 302, C-4, Dana20, 9inch, And A 44. Excellent For 35s Until I Wound Up On 39s Still Did Ok. Give Me An Idea If You Can What Kind Of Details I Can Further Help With
