Ok my motor is done along with my dana 30 front, it is now time to move on to the frame. I have my seats out, my fenders, hood and grill off, my top is off, the steering column is out and all the junk is cleaned out and the tire carrier is off the rear frame. I will have 3 people to help! I will start this a week from tommorrow.

1)- is it a good idea to take the floor panel out of the center or leave it?
2)- is the body lite enough for 3 guys to manage easily?
3)- how long roughly should it take from here?

3 guys can do it. Of course it's more balanced with 4, but 3 can manage. Hell one creative guy with some sawhorses and 2x4s can do it alone. ;)

Floor panel shouldn't matter much, you have to lift the tub up and over the shifter, right?

Up here in Michigan, two guys can move a body --

Of course, the floors are usually long gone and returned to the earth! MUCH lighter! :D

    1. Take the floor panel out
    2. Truthfully I can take them off by myself with the right amount of wiggling and then stand them on end. Ive also discovered a new trick and that is using my engine hoist , makes life a little easier.(but doesn't work well in the dirt  ) Two men can handle it easy enough That is what I do when I put it back on and it's got new paint on it. I'm going to try using my hoist when I paint my 58, cause often more than not I can't get anybody to help when I start putting em back together.
    3. Depends on how qick you get tired. ;)

I took my jeep all the way down to the running gear in about 4 hours by my self with 2 4x4 and a hilift jack. I also loaded the body on a trailer a week later by my self , and I put it the shop about 2 weeks ago by myself , it was covered in ice then. It isnt that bad.

I took my '71 tub off myself too, 10 years ago... but it was so rusted it probably only weighed half of what a new one weighs... only 3 bolts left holding it on  and I was junking the tub so I wasn't taking any special care, I just picked up one side and rolled it off much like what you see in Boyinks pic:D

I put my tub on and off at least a half dozen times during my buildup. Just used an engine hoist with chains placed in a triangle pattern. I had 1 running to each side, and one towards the rear to help stabilize.

Worst thing is the steering wheel if you cant get it off, you will have to lift the body off really really high to get it over the steering wheel.

Well all the bolts and such came out today and the rear gas tank was taken off along with the headers and mufflers from the frame, got my wiring out also. I only broke 3 bolts and 2 of them were not on at all. I have to work this weekend so monday the body should come off and the frame finished being stripped and readied for sandblasting and straightening by tuesday afternoon hopefully.

Good thing I'm faster at putting it back together then taking it apart.:D
I'm not gonna bother painting the body like I was hoping, but I am gonna finish everything below the body!;), the main things now are getting the frame done along with the twin stick kit in and the motor back in along with the new front axle.
