67 CJ5 with the V6. Have a new signal housing with a Walcks harness. I have Headlights (hi/lo), park lights on rear and right front, rear signals, and rear hazard. My driver front signal lamp is dead on everything. It is a new bulb in a new housing. I have no brake lights and no front signals. I've replaced the brake sensor, grounded tail housings and front housings. Am I missing something? Its driving me nuts. I've searched and found a few answers to these problems but they still aren't getting me where I need to be.

Saying that a CJ5 is one of the simplest vehicles to wire isn't going to improve your mood any. You sound like you have dealt with the ground issues so now we are on to the turn signal switch. I suspect it is a Sparton. Everything like turn signals and brake lights run through it. I fought with mine on my 3B for months. I finally got another from a member here. The lack of a running light to the LF is a bit confusing since I thought both parking lamps ran off of the same circuit

I generally find that when you have a problem that doesn't make sense it means you have more than one problem:rofl:

All I can suggest is trace the power through from the switches with a voltmeter or test light.

I can't add much of anything to what's already been said, especially since you are using a wiring harness. Just remember that the brake lights should have an individual wire to each light, and the turn signal's function is to interrupt the direct connection and the flasher sends intermittent power to the light. As mentioned a simple test light is all you need for troubleshooting these issues. Wiring a turn signal switch can definitely mess with your head, so don't be discouraged. ;)

your turn signal with has everything running through it. use an ohm meter to see if the switches contacts are open and closing as they should. you know which wire is supposed to be the " hot" one. go from there to all the wires that are the output for everything else until you find the wire where it does not respond as designed.

Home depots klein multimeter is a great value and is fairly rugged. I bet its your sparton switch giving you issues or its wired wrong.

Thanks for the help everyone. I'm headed out of town for a few days so I'll hit it this weekend with a fresh mind. It's the last step for a Jeep that as of last Saturday hadn't run since October 2005.

"New signal housing"? What signal switch do you have? First you need to fix the drivers front park light. Using a test light (less confusing) follow the power path from the junction block on the left fender (three wires) 1 from the headlight switch (power when ON) which you have because the right front works. 2 is showing power to the right front light (reports working) and 3 this wire has a broken wire, bad connection or defective light socket and or bulb.
