How big to bore

    How much over stock can you bore a 225

    The Autozone kit comes in .020, .030, .050 and .060 ovesized pistons. I bored mine .030 over.

    Yup, if'n I remember right, you can quite safely go .060"..........

    Mine is .60 over. No problems, pistons came from Badger.

    A good rule of thumb is to go with the minimum over bore. This is usually .030. That way if you have a problem(God forbid) in the future, you can get another bore out of it.

    Like Jeepdaddy said. Bore them the miniumum amount just in case something happens. If you go .060 over and something wrong happens. You will have to find a new block or sleeve the cylinders($$$$). You really don't gain ne noticiable horsepower or anything by making it bigger.
