    Years ago, I took an hour and some scrap and threw this thing together when I needed it. Simple and works great.

    Yours isn't exactly the same as the one I remember being posted but the concept is the same. I borrow a puller from a friend that runs an auto repair place. He laughs because I use it more than they do. I use it about once every three years or so.

    Nice puller, but a larger diameter bolt would be even better.
    My ancient Snap-On three arm has about a 2" dia. fine thread, as well as some huge hammer flats. I have needed every bit of heft to get a few tough hubs off in the past.

    I ended up ordering the OTC tool. It showed up today and it
    worked like a charm.
    A little heat and a lot of impact and it came off... man did it come off!!

    The left hand thread on the wheel studs did have me scratching my head for a couple minutes though. I thought that was just a Dodge thing.

    The left hand thread thing confuses a lot of people, even with that L stamped in the end of the stud.

    The only thing on the end of those studs was crud.
    I think the last time I ran into anything with left hand lug nuts was back in the 90s.
