Hey all. Just curious. I'll try and list everything I know. I'm in upstate NY.

1966 CJ5
Power stearing
Front disk brakes
Front axle is out of a later 70s CJ donor
Fiberglass body
New crager steel wheels & new 33" tires
Electric fan,Taurus with a hi/low/off switch
Petronics ignition
Headman headers with side exhaust
Soft top and bikini top
225 Dauntless V6
Factory correct 3 speed trans & transfer case
Full 6 point roll cage
Mid back seats,unknown donor
Top mount clutch &a brake levers
Hydrolic clutch
Tilt wheel jeep column
Rear fuel tank
Front sway bar

Yeah,I saw that. Was under the impression that it was just a guideline what to put in a new thread. Guess not

 

buyer's market . far from stock , list it for what you think it's worth . but it comes down to what ever they are willing to pay . as they say location location location . spend a few bucks and have it appraised

Don't know. They say "Radial H/T Super Sport" in eased white letters. Wish I could help. PO bought them just before I bought the jeep!

 

Cool Jeep, lots of up grades for a 66.

 

Oh. And a front sway bar.

 

In France, the CJ5 are not well appreciated, in comparison with the standard WWII Jeep. It is maybe half price or less!
The D DAY look is over-evaluated, but it is like this.
Maybe it is the same in USA?

I will take a shot at it. I watch Craigslist several times a day and try to really stay on top of what sells quickly against the listing that goes on for weeks or months unsold. Out here the fiberglass tub most times drops the value quite a bit. Back in rust land it may be a necessary evil though. Everything depends on your timeline of not needing the money versus wanting to sell it today to pay bills. Here I could get $2800 for that today and might be able to push it to $3800 if some patience was spread over a couple weeks. When selling Jeeps these days, other then the super rare totally stock original or quality restoration, it is all about the add-ons. Tires, new tops, winches, overdrives and axle lockers are what drives the sales price. Things change over time as to what is in demand and your experience may vary depending on availability in your area.
