Windshield wiper ?'s

Hey all.....undoubtedly you've all seen or have the electric winshield wiper conversion for your cj5......the 12 V electric type. I have them in my 1966 but am not overly impressed with the wiper arms or blades they come with. I was wondering if anyone had found arms and blades that would work on these units. I would love to have better blades, something like maybe a suzuki samurai ( I know I know bad words )..would use. Has anyone found anything that has worked better but will fit these electric units?? Any insight would be great

You can get some Anco universal's that are sturdy with a little catalog digging at a parts store. The arms on your aftermarket kit attach directly to the post. The universals are designed to replace the originals, and require a "star" knob on the post. I *think* the posts are the some. I don't know if those stars are available anywhere besides used ones from someone with dead wipers.

 

used motor/linkages from 70 cj5 on mine. had to add about 2" on the long arm to work. also had to file a notch in the frame to hold pivots.
