haven"t been one this site in a while the new look is cool! heres my problerm: i have had my d18 tranfercase apart before and there were no surprises. but this time you can still pull in and out on the rear yoke.(yes bearing cap end play set at .004) when nut is tightened to 200FT-LBS .the movement is definitely more than.004" what is my solution any suggestion would be great!

Have you checked to see that the bolts are tight in the rear speedo housing, if these are loose then they will affect the end play severely. Otherwise take it apart and check the bearings and seats for excessive wear and reshim if necessary.

    wrong yoke?
    bad yoke?
nut bottoming out before making yoke contact ?
washer under nut hanging up in yoke ?
