Just replaced the tranny with a rebuilt T90. I am having issues with getting into 1st gear. I can do it sometimes and not others. I have found that if I push the clutch in and release a little and repush all the way in I have no issues getting into 1st. I hope that sounded right. All other gears are no problems. I tightened the cable from bellcrank to fork to try to alleviate this issue to no avail. I find that I get the cable tight and push in the clutch once and it seems to loosen the cable a little. Can this be a worn cable or something I am not even thinking about. Bellcrank kit is new...

    Hey there Yuma!

This might be because first isn't synchro'd, and the teeth don't line up every time. When you let the clutch out a tiny bit, the input shaft moves slightly and bingo, it goes. I've noticed the exact same thing you describe on occasion, but not every time, or even that often. At least, not to the point that I'm concerned about it. I have the same situation as you in that I have a newly rebuilt T90 and fresh everything else to go with it.

    Old Jeeper's trick -

If you think you're moving too fast to get into first gear without grinding, sneak it quickly into 2nd then into 1st. The synchros in 2nd gear will help it get into 1st without grinding.
